When Oak Tree was founded in 2004, the goal was never to be the biggest, but the very best in independent retirement living.

Almost twenty years later, we have built a reputation for being the trusted name in retirement, and the dependable and confident choice for seniors wanting an easier, richer lifestyle. From the very beginning, the most important thing to our founders was being vertically integrated and having a personal approach to retirement living. They wanted the residents who moved into Oak Tree villas to know them by name and felt that to put the best possible product on the ground for them, they had to be in control of every aspect of the development.

To this day, the Oak Tree Group still manage every facet of the business internally, from identifying potential sites and conducting market research, to designing villa floorplans and selling the villas. We are still motivated by our passion for allowing seniors to retire locally, and providing them with a secure, relaxed retirement.


Unlike other retirement providers, our villages are smaller in scale – an intentional decision to help encourage a closer-knit community environment where residents can form friendships easily and feel a sense of security.   

The boutique nature fosters a stronger sense of belonging as every resident knows each other personally. If someone has been quieter or less active than usual, they’ll go and check in. They genuinely care and look out for one another.

Smaller scale communities also mean our dedicated and supportive Village Managers know every resident personally, so no one ever gets lost in the crowd. With less residents comes easier access to management in times of need, and a quicker response time providing peace of mind for residents.
