Residents, team members, friends and family, and members of our local communities recently gathered across Oak Tree villages for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, raising vital funds for the Cancer Council and supporting Australians affected by cancer.
This annual event continues to bring communities together over tea, coffee, homemade treats, raffles, and entertainment, while contributing to life-saving cancer research, prevention programs, and support services.
Thanks to the generousity and enthusiasm of everyone involved, our villages raised an impressive $40,000 this year (adding to our tally of over $100,000 in the past few years!), demonstrating the power of community in making a meaningful difference.
The Highlights
This year’s Biggest Morning Tea events featured plenty of fun, laughter, and entertainment. Residents and guests at Taylor Street, Armidale enjoyed a lively performance by The Ukulele Group, while crowd favourite Malcolm Tew returned to entertain attendees at Kingston.
With a bottle of wine up for grabs, the coin toss at our Kanwal village also proved particularly popular!
The generousity of residents was also on full display through raffle donations. Goodna resident Heather contributed a beautifully crafted and framed Diamond Dots artwork, while Kanwal resident Judith donated one of her original paintings, helping to make the raffles a great success.

Thank you
Thank you to every resident, staff member, family member, and community partner who contributed to the success of this year’s Biggest Morning Tea events.
Whether you baked, donated, volunteered, attended, or purchased a raffle ticket, your support played an important role in helping raise funds for the Cancer Council and supporting Australians affected by cancer.
We are incredibly proud of the generosity and community spirit shown across our villages and look forward to coming together again next year to make an even greater impact!
