Toowoomba's lesson in snake safety

Previous Next

Oak Tree Toowoomba residents recently received a lesson in snake safety from local snake catcher - Nathan.

Nathan visited the village community centre, bringing along with him a python to show techniques of correct handling and what to do should you come across a snake, or worse, get bitten by a snake.

There were a few amongst us who were brave enough to pat the snake - including Sharon's 4 year old grandson who listened very closely and patted the snake gently.

Nathan was very entertaining with his stories and very informative. With snakes on the move in this dry bought of weather we are having - the topic could not be more timely.
