Sitting down to lunch
3 Birds With One Stone in Toowoomba
What a week we've had - birthdays, new residents moving in and welcoming on board our new Operations Manager Lindsay Prior - This called for a communal celebratory lunch of great proportions.
We don't do anything by halves in Toowoomba and decided to kill three birds with the one stone enjoying a three course meal amongst our friends, new and old.
Picking an Italian theme, residents bought along a plate.
First course was a choice of Minestrone soup or Mussel soup, and garlic bread.
Second course was Beef Lasagne, Vegetable Lasagne, and Spaghetti Bolognese. Salads and mixed vegies.
Dessert were also a mix - bread and butter pudding, cheesecake, apple pie custard and cream, and all voiced that thee ice-cream cake with fruit and chocolate was to die for topped with chocolate liquor for extra decadence!
New residents Rex and Marion Koop and Edna Hindle were honoured to be part of such a warm welcome, as was Lindsay who said he will make sure Toowoomba is on his regular visit list, especially if the people and the food is this good.
Our birthday boy Ron received a new pool queue for his birthday so watch out every one Ron means business and has been sighted regularly practising.
