Oak Tree helps support Camp Quality
Oak Tree supports Giggle Day
Oak Tree Retirement Village Tamworth is set to sponsor the upcoming Giggle Day Carnival to raise funds for Camp Quality.
Part of the sponsorship arrangement includes full support of the South United Under 15's soccer match which will be a key attraction on the day and close at heart to our very own Village Manager who has a son on the team.
"South United have raised in excess of $20,000 for the charity over the past five years and when I approached Oak Tree head office with these amazing results, Oak Tree was only too happy to show their support of this very important cause and get behind this young team," says Village Manager Rod Sawtell.
"As a company, and relatively new to the Tamworth area, we feel it is important to get out there and support local community events and get behind the younger generations who are working hard to make a difference."
The Carnival will take place on August 13 attracting the young and young at heart.
"The family event has something for all generations with the mums, dads and grandparents coming out to watch the kids play and enjoy the festivities; all the while raising proceeds for kids in need and struggling to live with cancer," said Rod.
A Trivia night is also being held on the 28th of August to raise further funds and Oak Tree will be on board once again.
"We will be encouraging all of our residents to attend the events, offering a free bus ride for those interested in coming along."
"Both events are based around the premise that laughter is the best medicine and Oak Tree residents sure do love a good laugh and are very deserving one!" said Rod.
Oak Tree will have branding on the soccer jerseys and prominent signage throughout the carnival venue and an information marquee at the trivia event.
