Park Avenue's Love Birds together for 60 years.
April was a busy month with Easter and Anzac day, but Oak Tree Park Avenue also had to celebrate a very special occasion with our lovely residents, Clive and Doris Harris, who have been married for 60 years this year.
The 24th of April marked their special anniversary and they were delighted to receive cards from The Queen, the new Governor General Peter Cosgrove, Cambell Newman and several other local dignitaries.
To celebrate all residents headed off down to the North Rockhampton Bowls club for a celebratory glass of champers and some lunch.
The social club organised a special cake and Village Managers David and Robyn got in on the act as they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on the 15th of April.
Clive gave Doris the most beautiful gold necklace with a diamond studded heart. Robyn is still waiting…. For her 60th anniversary to get one too!
Congratulations to both of our happy lovebirds.
