It was all about the fifties at Oak Tree Toowoomba with their winter event. Despite cold winter winds, warm spirits filled the community centre with dancing, laughter and classic rock ‘n roll music.
Hot dogs and Spiders were on the menu, with iconic pin up girls and classic cars from the decade on show. With Kombi Keg on hand with drinks for the occasion adding to the proceeds from the day, to be donated to Lifeline, a worthy charity in the Toowoomba community.
Radio 4AK were broadcasting from the village, exciting listeners with live crosses and free giveaways. Later in the afternoon, a wave of colour filled the village centre with the authentic costumes of the rock ‘n roll dancers twirling as they ‘rocked around the clock.
With an afternoon packed full of ‘old fashioned fun’, residents and guests are looking forward to the next fun filled event. Keep an eye on our socials for upcoming events.
