Through the months of May and June Oak Tree continue their support for Cancer Council’s “The Biggest Morning Tea”.
Last week we began with Oak Tree Retirement Village Warwick, it was a huge turn out with approximately 80 people. There was an array of yummy goodies for the residents and their friends to enjoy, entertainment performed by Darryl Craft and Jan Byrne shared her own story and how she fought this terrible disease. The guests enjoyed a fashion parade which was a fun time for all that participated.
There were so many fantastic donations for lucky door and raffle prizes from suppliers in the community and the residence themselves. A considerable amount was raised to help support Cancer Council Australia and all the fantastic work they do to help ease the process on the journey to recovery.
This is the very first morning teas that our villages will be undertaking to support this great cause.
