Oak Tree Warwick celebrates Jumpers & Jazz

Tuesday, 19 June 2018 Categories Oak Tree Group

Oak Tree Retirement Village Warwick is once again very proud to support the Jumpers and Jazz in July Festival.

To show our support the village will be entering into the Tree Yarnbombing Competition. Our residents have been very busy knitting and sewing their creations and there certainly has been some masterpieces achieved!

The men in the village have also been involved by crafting the timber for the trees that decorate the Village, along with the display surrounding our tree in Palmerin Street. It truly is a community effort.

Our wonderful residents have also been busy decorating our village. The entrance to the Village Centre is adorned with handmade flags and an amazing foyer centrepiece is on display, all proudly made by residents at our Warwick Village.

To coincide with the festival, Oak Tree Warwick will be hosting a Scarf Knitting workshop for children of all ages on Saturday the 21st of July 2018. Parents are encouraged to come along and witness their children’s works of art. Each person that attends the workshop will receive a set of knitting needles and a ball of wool to continue their scarf at home. The residents will be running the workshop on the day and morning tea will be provided to all that come a long and join in on the fun. Please RSVP to our Village Manager Mary O’Neill on 0438 416 271.

While the workshop is underway the Village will be on display for visitors to walk through the grounds and view all the amazing trees our residents have decorated.
