Boronia's Australia Day Celebrations
Always one for celebrations - Oak Tree Boronia Heights celebrated the Australia Day holiday with a barbeque breakfast which went off with a bang.
More than 30 residents showed up for a meal and many stayed for hours afterwards just catching up.
The tables and walls were decked out with bunting and Australian flags in honour of the occasion. Marilyn wore an Australian flag T-shirt and Bob looked resplendent in his fetching flagged sunnies.
Controversy ensued when the pineapple on the fruit platter turned out to be watermelon. One resident decided to make a complaint to management and had a good laugh when he wasn’t taken in the least bit seriously.
The traditional Australia Day cockroach races were abandoned due to the fragility of the cockroaches…
As usual, our thanks go to all those who helped out.
