We had the opportunity to host another Open Day in our Kingston (Hobart) village over the weekend. It’s always a delight to travel to the Apple Isle – it truly is one of the great places in the world.
Our Kingston project has really hit its straps recently with the next release of villas to commence in the next month or so. Peter Crosswell our Village Manager has done a great job in building the community and working with our residents to ensure the lifestyle is first class.
As dirt starts to turn again in the next stage, I’m reminded of the growth in the Oak Tree village community. People from diverse backgrounds have made the village what it is today – they bring their experiences, ideas and character to the village and this of course is what defines the village lifestyle. Companionship, security and a maintenance free lifestyle are the obvious attractions but there’s more to it than that. Lives are restored in many instances – new activities, new friendships and of course the knowledge that the lifestyle is protected forever. It’s that certainty about the future that makes the real difference and enhances lives.
As we travel around our villages, we see the same dynamics from Cairns in the North to Kingston in the South. It’s not only intensely rewarding but it reminds us at Oak Tree there is so much more to do. As our population ages, we NEED more villages. It’s as simple as that.
It may be an option for you…maybe not. But you’ll never know until you come and visit us – seeing really is believing. As the old slogan reads…’if you never never go, you’ll never never know’. How true….just ask our residents.
Our villages are open for inspection most days of the week and we’d be delighted to take you around. Check out the facilities and chat with those who have made the move. Chances are you’ll know some of our residents if you’re local. 85% of our residents are local people and want to remain connected to their local community. Simply give us a call and we’ll arrange a time that works for you.
Hopefully we will see you somewhere soon – if you happen to be in Townsville this weekend I’ll be there with our team including Ian Hill, our Village Manager and some of our senior team making the trek up from Brisbane. It would be great to meet you and show you around our village.
