New Village For Toowoomba

Last Friday a group of staff from head office headed to Toowoomba to finalise plans for the launch of our latest village. It was a great day – we selected villas for display purposes as well as put plans in motion for the official launch of the village later in February. It’s important for us at Oak Tree to involve our staff in our developments. It gives us all a sense of ownership and the chance to make a valuable contribution.

Toowoomba is a great city – it has a wonderful climate – there are a genuine 4 seasons to enjoy whilst remaining in striking distance of Brisbane. Toowoomba acts as a hub for many regional people in the south of QLD. It has extensive infrastructure as well as delightful amenities such as world famous parks and recreational areas. It serves as a base for many living regional villages and smaller towns, particularly in the Darling Downs catchment. Oak Tree also has a village in Warwick which has been going very well. There is┬áchoice then for people in the Darling Downs area.

We’ll be making some 23 villas available for immediate sale in the villages – these include 2 and 3 bedroom units and a single 1 bedroom unit. Additionally we are submitting plans to council for the construction of community facilities including a community centre, a regulation length bowling green and heated swimming pool. We expect to commence construction of these facilities within the next 8 weeks. Further villas will be constructed as demand dictates – the final villa numbers will be 58, a typical size for an Oak Tree Village.

Oak Tree has a heritage in developing and operating regional retirement villages. It’s our passion. Developing regionally allows us to get very involved, connecting with new residents as they make a significant change in their lives. We are there to help them through the process.

We would welcome the opportunity to show you our plans for the Toowoomba village. We are taking enquiry now and can provide information relating to villas as well as the community facilities. Plus we will have our Toowoomba web page live within the next couple of days so keep your eyes peeled.

We look forward to your call. I hope this week is a little cooler for you wherever you may be – I for one am sick of the hot weather!

Warm Regards

Mark.
