It’s not often you get a chance to return to a company that you enjoyed working at previously, but that’s what happened to me. My name is Guy Zamarini, and I started the construction program at Oak Tree ten years ago and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in 40 years in the building industry. When the directors asked me if I want to return I was happy to say yes.
I the last few years since leaving Oak Tree I have had an interesting career working in such diverse places such as Arnhem Land and supervising housing projects from Coolangatta to Mt Isa. Being in charge of over 40 school projects in the Lockyer Valley and Toowoomba as well as two large construction projects in Melbourne, where I am currently living.
As Oak Tree’s project manager for NSW and Tasmania the last 6 months have been incredibly challenging but I have enjoyed my return and am looking forward to the start of several new projects in the coming months. There is nothing more satisfying for a PM than to help plan a new project from bare site through the construction phase and on to completion …..and I hope to help deliver.
