An old face returns

Some of you may remember me from four or five years ago. Back in 2010 I worked in Finance but have now come back to Oak Tree in the construction department to work with George and Len.

The contrast between now and then is striking. I remember attending the first open days at Goodna, Boronia Heights, Rocky, Skye, Cairns and Warwick. It’s great to see these villages so well established. In my previous role, I don’t think I have ever really appreciated before what it takes to deliver the living, breathing communities that we see today. Right now, being involved in the early days, as the villages rise from the ground, it gives you a completely different perspective.

The growth plans for the future are challenging and exciting, and there is plenty of work for everyone to achieve the vision. The new villages at Orange, Armidale, Tamworth and Townsville are progressing well, ready to receive their first residents in the near future.

I look forward to meeting you around the villages over the coming months.

Until next time,

David Batchelor
