Toowoomba update

I have just returned from a site visit to Toowoomba to inspect the progress on the community centre, bowling green and swimming pool and I can gladly say – it is looking fantastic!

The end is in site and I am expecting to hit practical completion of the community centre by the 16th of September. This means that it wont be long now before the centre will be open and ready for use.

The bowling green has been completed which looks very inviting to throw down the “Jack” and test out the new green.  The swimming pool shell has been poured with the coping tiles laid.  It all looks great – we just need to add some water and it’s nearly ready to go.

Overall the whole area is looking fantastic and progressing well on schedule, and on budget, which is how we like to roll in the construction department.

Next week I am off to sunny but cold Tasmania as we commence work on our community centre in Kingston. One of my favourite villages, it has an amazing outlook over to the snow-capped Mount Wellington and the valley below it. Hopefully this time I don’t get charged with excess luggage because of the extra clothing required just to keep warm!

Enjoy your week and I will leave you with this –

“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”

— Winston Churchill, British Prime Minister.

Until next time….George.
