Kate & Hon Joyce
Proudly Supporting St. Albert's
As proud sponsors of the St. Albert’s College at UNE and also the St. Albert’s College Rugby Club, Oak Tree Retirement Village Armidale received an invite to the inaugural Future’s Dinner with guest speaker, The Hon Barnaby Joyce MP Deputy PM.
Village Manager Kate Pigram attended as Oak Tree’s representative and is well known to the College community having attended the College as a former student herself before later becoming College Dean.
Oak Tree’s Managing Director Mark Bindon is also a former St Albert’s student.
“It gives us great pleasure to support the community of St Albert’s and in particular their Rugby team with many of us at Oak Tree keen rugby fanatics,” said Mr Bindon who grew up in Armidale and understands the local sporting culture.
“As major sponsors it is a great opportunity to give back to the community and connect to the people, places and events that help make Armidale the thriving and wonderful place it is.
“As Oak Tree becomes further integrated into the local community we will continue to support local groups and community events and proudly wave the Oak Tree flag.”
Ms Pigram took the opportunity to rub shoulders with The Hon Joyce and jokingly pitched the Village as a place for him to retire when he becomes of age.
Ms Pigram and the Hon Joyce are old college friends.
