A Bus for Oak Tree Armidale Makes Life Easy
Oak Tree Retirement Village Armidale residents can now enjoy easy access in and around town with the arrival of their own 12 seater village bus.
The mini bus comes after recent announcements the village is making further improvements, adding caravan storage, security fencing and personal lock-up garages.
The bus will do regular scheduled trips to the shops, and enable residents to arrange social excursions to various destinations.
“Whilst many of our residents still drive, there will be some who don’t so the bus is particularly handy for them giving them the freedom to get around without relying on their family/friends or paid services to give them a lift,” said Oak Tree Group’s Managing Director, Mr Mark Bindon.
“Even those who do drive often prefer using the bus as it is not only easier, it’s more social.”
The inclusion of the village bus is all part of helping make life easier for Oak Tree residents.
When making a move to Oak Tree Retirement Village, residents can expect a low maintenance, more care-free lifestyle experience.
The mix of one, two and three bedroom villa designs are adequately spacious but still easily maintainable with minimal housework required.
All lawns and gardens, with the inclusion of external villa maintenance and community facility maintenance is the responsibility of the Village Management.
Residents have full use of the Village Centre at their leisure which includes an open plan activities and function area, full kitchen, library and computer facilities, hair dressing salon, lounge and indoor and outdoor entertainment areas as well as an outdoor bowling green, all of which have just recently been completed.
Regular social events have commenced in the Village Centre, offering residents the opportunity to socialise, meet new friends and try new activities.
The new bus will be useful in the planning of future social events, with Village Manager, Kate Pigram, already working on the bus roster and planned day trips.
