Anzac Day in Skye
Oak Tree Skye residents held a commemoration service for ANZAC day on Monday.
Residents congregated in the front car park of the village near the flag pole, as resident Graham chaired the ceremony and raised the flag to half mast.
Fellow resident Bob said the Ode, whilst Dick read a beautiful poem about a Digger and a little boy.
The Last Post was played and we had a minute's silence to remember fallen soldiers, after which the flag was raised once again.
Following the service, residents ventured to the community centre to share a BBQ breakfast cooked by Sam, where they took the opportunity to catch up on a warm April's morning and enjoy the sunshine on the back patio.
