A cuppa at the AGM
It's that time of year again when the Oak Tree Annual General Meetings are held to discuss the Village financials and budgetary plans for the new year, but it's not all money talk.
Whilst the obligatory discussions take place first with Oak Tree head office staff, residents and staff enjoy a morning tea and cuppa afterwards with some friendly chatter and mingling.
"It's all pretty informal and gives both residents and staff the opportunity to voice concerns, hear ideas and ensure everyone is happy with how the village is being run," says Village Manager Peter Grace.
"The residents love meeting the head office Oak Tree staff, just as much as the staff look forward to meeting them. It's a great family atmosphere and conversation topics quickly move from business to the latest footy match or whatever's topical.
"Änd there is always plenty of food to go around."
