Warwick’s community orchard is coming a long
With Warwick's cold winter frosts come, and hopefully gone at least for now, we saw a window of opportunity to commence planting our much awaited community fruit orchard.
Preparations were made several weeks ago with the holes being dug and prepped and all that was left was the fun bit of getting our hands dirty and planting our trees.
They'll need some nurturing yet to survive the winter but our residents are excited to watch the trees grow over time. So far our orchard includes peach, lemon, pomegranate, and fig - a bit of an exotic mix with more to come!
When the trees fruit, residents will be able to come and pick fruit as they need it.
