Toowoomba's Dinner and a Movie
Oak Tree Toowoomba has had a few birthday's of late so to celebrate we've had two outings this week seeing our residents get out and about together with their fellow Oak Tree friends.
Val and Tony received birthday well wishes from all, and those who could, joined us for a movie date to see the film "12 Years as a slave" - a very confronting film but a worthwhile viewing all the same.
Whilst others attended a dinner at the local Chinese Restaurant for some good food, a few drinks and lots of laughter with good company.
Cake is always a must every time there is a birthday in the village - It is the Oak Tree Toowomba tradition. With all of these birthdays and delicious sweets - it's no wonder our walking groups are growing stronger in popularity.
With more and more residents slowly moving into the village our little social community is really starting to hum away.
