Day Out at Pittsworth Pioneer Village
Wednesday was a glorious day so 10 residents and myself headed off to Pittsworth to the Pioneer village.
Just a 20 minute car pool drive and we were there.
The volunteers opened the village just for us and made a wonderful morning tea, homemade scones, cakes and sandwiches.
They showed us through the village and had people giving us guided tours in every part of it.
The car museum, the war museum, the old school and the cheese factory.
It was an eye opener to see how they lived back then, some residents reminisced about their childhood living the lifestyle we were experiencing, this amazed some of the other residents and myself included.
On the way home we stopped at the Westbrook Tavern for some lunch.
A very enjoyable day out and about.
