Village Manager, Tarnya Mayes is one of Oak Tree's youngest Village Managers but certainly one of the most capable with over 13 years experience in the nursing industry. With a young family of her own, Tarnya loves the family atmosphere Oak Tree proudly encourages and has a caring nature with a creative flair. She welcomes being part of the Yeppoon community and is passionate about helping to build a lively and comfortable home where our residents can enjoy themselves. In my wildest dreams/plans I could not have imagined just how lucky I would be in choosing Oak Tree Retirement Village Yeppoon as my new home. Only a third of the units are constructed due to heavy seasonal weather/rain. This delayed the completion of my unit. During this time the company arranged tempoary accommodation, storage of my furniture and really cared for me.
Oak Tree Retirement Village Yepppoon boasts the best of the best accommodation for over 55's anywhere in Central Queensland with shops and sporting bodies in close proximity and a new hospital as an added incentive to feel secure in the knowledge that health related issues can be promptly attended to.
My first enquiry to the Oak Tree Retirment Village in Yeppoon was via Jenny and through her help and kindness I had the confidence to put a deposit down on my chosen villa back in August 2009. Tarnya has since taken on the role of Village Manager for Yeppoon, and after several visits I chose a Wagtail design which I had only seen on paper - brave I thought.
