Pets welcome at Oak Tree

At Oak Tree Retirement Village Goodna, we understand that pets are an important part of the family. This is why pets are welcomed into village when you choose to make Oak Tree you new home.

Heather Williams is a long term resident of Oak Tree Goodna and she moved to the village together with her cat, Layla.

"Layla is completely deaf, as almost all white cats are, so we were told," said Village Manager Peter.

"Layla is great company for Heather who resides on her own in her villa.

"Heather is always bringing pictures of her cat in to show me the funny positions she likes to sleep in - she certainly is a funny cat and has made herself right at home here at Oak Tree along with the rest of us."

Oak Tree's pet policy is designed to help all residents, including non-pet owners, to live harmoniously in the village. When purchasing a villa at Oak Tree all pets must be approved by the Village Manager in the first instance.

"Your dog, cat or another animal is always welcome providing we can be sure they are well behaved and a good fit for the village, and all of the othe residents," said Peter.

"We have many residents with pets and they bring a lot of value to the lives of our residents - and smiles."
