Park Avenue donate to RACQ helicopter services
As part of the seniors week celebrations, Oak Tree Park Avenue held a cent sale to raise money for the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue services who provide a much needed high quality aeromedical service to the people of Central Queensland.
This week the donated money was presented to Kirsty Hansen and Jan Barraett - representatives of the Helicopter Rescue team.
The highly trained team of people provide intensive care paramedics and/or a doctor on board all rescue flights.
The charity and the service is available FREE to all members in our community who are in danger 24 hours a day, 7days a week and 365 days a year.
Averaging 1 rescue a day, they need five and a half million dollars annually to effectively operate. 40% of these funds are supplied via the government, 60% of the remaining budget is raised through fundraising and the good will of very kind members of the Community.
Oak Tree was delighted to be able to help and raise $300 for the very worthy cause.
