The thing about Toowoomba is it is pretty no matter what time of year, but spring certainly has the extra wow factor that attracts attention.
Oak Tree Retirement Village Toowoomba is looking at its best this spring with pops and bursts of colour in every garden coupled with the sweet scent of floral blooms drifting with the breeze.
"The garden outside the front entrance to the community centre is particularly spectacular", says Village Manager Sharon.
"One of our residents, Joan Rollason has a true passion and skill for gardening and enjoys helping to tend to this garden."
Perched upon a rock Joan picks the dead buds off the flowers helping all the new buds come out. She works quietly and peacefully enjoying the fresh air and the warmth of the sun.
"We appreciate all of her hard work - the rest of the residents get to enjoy this beautiful garden every day," says Sharon.
The most specular plant in the Village at present is right in front of the community centre .
"It's a vibrant purple colour and buzzing with happy bees; It attracts everyone's eyes when they enter the Village."
