Setting up for the first session
Launch of Live Better Longer in Burpengary
Oak Tree Burpengary this week launched the brand new Oak Tree Live Better Longer Program.
Teaming up with expert Naturopath and Nutritionist, Sheridan Genrich, Oak Tree has created a fun and easy care program to help empower residents to feel fit, active, and healthier, for longer.
This holistic program is tailored to allow residents to move at their own pace and will pilot in the village for a period of six months. It will involve a weekly session designed to exercise both the body and mind. Residents will learn:
- Expert tips and demonstrations on making delicious and nutritious foods
- Exercise demonstrations which are simple and effective in building strength, coordination and balance
- Fun puzzles and games to stimulate the brain, and
- Craft workshops designed to encourage relaxation and stress reduction
This week's session showed an induction video and sampled some smoothie recipes, using the 7 best brain foods. Next week will be the commencement of the first exercise class.
Residents are looking forward to this.
