Mediterranean Style at Park Aveune
Oak Tree Retirement Village Park Avenue held their Senior’s Luncheon on Tuesday 23rd of February and tasted the inspiring flavours of the Mediterranean in a feast to delight all of the senses.
The popular senior’s event is spreading and cementing itself as a “must do” on the village social calendars across the Oak Tree portfolio as far north in Cairns to as far south as Tasmania, the event having initiated in the Darling Downs region proving so popular it’s now coming into its fifth year.
With four villages in the Central Queensland region the Oak Tree Group now has the opportunity to bring some of it’s more popular events here to share with its residents and the broader senior public.
“The Oak Tree luncheon is a great opportunity for local seniors to get out and about and enjoy delicious food and socialise casually in a relaxed and care-free environment with like-minded people,” said Oak Tree’s Managing Director Mr Mark Bindon.
“It’s our pleasure to reach out to the community and share in some good times and make some fun memories.
“Oak Tree is a community focused brand and the luncheon and other social events such as our market days are a great way to meet the locals and help look after them,” he said.
The menu of the day featured a variety of traditional Italian delicacies with music and entertainment throughout the day.
With approximately 50 guests in attendance, Regional Manager Greg Rayment had a great time mixing with everyone as the MC and particularly enjoyed giving away the lucky door prizes.
From all reports, everyone enjoyed their meal with the dessert being the real crowd pleaser.
