A Bit About Me
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Peter Crosswell and I am proud to be the Village Manager at Oak Tree Retirement Village Kingston.
Born and bred in Hobart I am a 7th generation Tasmanian with my ancestry dating back as far as 1809. I lived in Hobart until I was a young teenager when I left and joined the RAAF to see the world, finally returning home 12 years later to settle back down and follow new career paths.
I’ve held various roles, the more stand out positions were those that allowed me to work with people – I thoroughly enjoyed my time as owner of a YMCA camp and later as the State Manager for Camp Quality – a charity supporting children with cancer. This work became a way of life for me for 20 years.
Married with two sons, I keep busy as the Vice President of the Air Force Association (TAS) and socially active as member of the Royal Hobart Golf Club.
Joining the Oak Tree Team is one of the better decisions I have ever made. I really enjoy working with seniors in supporting them to downsize and enjoy an easier way of life and all of the benefits that Oak Tree has to offer. Professionally, Oak Tree offers me challenge through variety; Personally Oak Tree offers me a sense of fulfilment in helping seniors enjoy their retirement years.
As the Village continues to grow I look forward to welcoming more residents home to Oak Tree.
