Italian Senior Luncheon
It was that time of year again in Oak Tree Yeppoon and Park Avenue when the Villages jointly hold the ever popular Italian Senior Luncheon for Senior's Week.
This year the Village had 120 attendees to the event, sadly turning many others away due to space limitations.
Oak Tree's very own master of Italian cuisine, resident of Park Avenue Luigi Crane cooked up a storm with his spectacular Bolognaise Sauce whilst Oak Tree staff Jen & Tarn organised the Lasagne. Even Daniel (maintenance) got in on the act and helped with service.
Residents were happy campers with their bellies full and were kept entertained by live music and the multi draw raffles.
Mayor Bill Ludwig was unable to attend but kindly donated $100 fruit & Vegie Prize. Councillor Tom Wyatt gave a kind donation (a gardening book) & Glenda Mather attended and also assisted with serving of the meals.
It was a great team effort by all involved and a fun-filled occasion for all who attended.
