Goondiwindi Senior's Fair
Oak Tree Goondiwindi hosted its first Senior’s Fair last week with an encouraging turn out! And not only was it Oak Tree’s first fair, it was the first fair of its kind ever to be held in this township.
The one and only Retirement Village in town, and new to the area, Oak Tree launched its inaugural Live Better Longer Senior’s fair inviting local businesses to participate in the mini expo at the Village Centre along with local seniors to join in on the fun.
Showcasing products and services aligned with seniors’ needs and interests, the 17 exhibitors included Kaloma, Revitalife, Logan’s Funerals, Lucy Walker Chemist Pharmacy, Tech Savvy, ihear, and Toast Masters just to name a few along with special interest groups in woodwork and craft
Around 60 members of the local community came to support the fair, many of them second time visitors to the village from our recent Grand open day.
These are pleasing results for National Business Manager Melissa Luck.
“It’s fantastic to see we are building up some momentum and getting a bit of a following.
“The Stall Owners were all very happy with how the event was run and are looking forward to a replay next year.
“It was another great opportunity to meet with the local people and show them what we are about here at Oak Tree and for our Village Manager, Marian, to build relationships with the the local business’ that can help support our residents here in the village.”
Another fantastic effort by our dynamic duo – Area Manager Mary O’Neil and Village Manager Marian Doyle.
Visitors were seen leaving the Village with bags full of handy information and smiles on their faces – clearly having enjoyed another good day out at Oak Tree.
