Dirt turns at Capricorn Coast
Following the successful sell down of Oak Tree Retirement Village Yeppoon and the ongoing growth in demand for additional senior accommodation in the area, The Oak Tree Group is extending its footprint building a second village in Yeppoon with earthworks under way.
The new village, Oak Tree Retirement Village Capricorn Coast, is Oak Tree’s third village in the region – the first of which was built in Rockhampton’s Park Avenue in 2008.
Some five years later Oak Tree says both of their existing villages are full with residual enquiry left over.
“Talks have commenced with council in regards to a forth site in Rockhampton,” said Regional Manager Melissa Luck.
“But first we are really excited to extend our product offering with a second village located at Kookaburra Drive which is next door to our current village.
“Competitively priced at $285,000 for a 2 bedroom home, we can continue providing quality and affordable retirement living options to local seniors,” she said.
Consisting of a total of 62 villas when completed, the village is already attracting attention with the Group making 11 presales before dirt was even turned.
"Stage one is now officially under way and we aim to have it completed by January 2014 for the first group of our residents to move right in.”
Village facilities, including a community centre, outdoor pool and bowls green are all scheduled for completion by March 2014.
