Wild Easter Monday Storm
Is that snow?? in Newcastle??
It sure looked like it when we were hit by a wild storm on Easter Monday.
The hail was so thick it could have passed for snow as it came thrashing down around the village. The only giveaway that it wasn't a snow storm, was the large claps of thunder and ferocious pounding noises as the hail hit the ground.
Our resident rainfall monitor, Joyce, says we had 58mm from the storm which only targeted Cardiff, nearby Glendale and Kotara.
It's a testiment to the quality of the construction of our village that there was no damage and the icicles melted quickly, running down drains and into the garden.
