Cairns Testimonial One

My husband Neil and I were amongst the first residents to place a deposit on a villa here at Oak Tree Retirement Village Cairns. We attended the very first open day, signed up the next day, put our house on the market and sold it within 24 hours. This was a shock to not only us, but the management team also as Oak Tree had not received their certificates of residency at that point.

When our home settled, Oak Tree arranged for us to stay at a resort across the highway, thinking it would only be for a few days. Three weeks later we were able to officially take up residence.

From the first Open Day we have been most impressed with the whole place, from the ongoing support and approachability of the Directors (Mark, Marco and Franco), the layout of the village itself, but mostly the camaraderie of our fellow residents. We are a group of like-minded people with common interests and shared sense of humour and my husband and I have never regretted our move here to Oak Tree Retirement Village Cairns.

We have a flourishing social life with frequent functions, as well as art classes, aqua aerobics, line dancing, tai chi, lawn bowls and of course our weekly morning teas and happy hour (or two, or three).

My only advice to anyone considering entry into Oak Tree Retirement Villages is not to leave it too much longer. You will reap the benefits of a settled community life with many friends, although still able to maintain your privacy if or when you wish.
