Boronia's Garden Blossoms
It has been a peaceful week at Boronia Heights with many residents out and about in their gardens, enjoying some quiet time in this beautiful mild winter weather of ours.
Dawn, a keen gardener, was out watering her garden and also likes to help out in the community gardens as well - a little shy in front of the camera she threatened to spray us with the hose but she didn't quite have the courage to follow through!
We also spotted Nancy out and about together with her friendly dog Gus. Gus was more then happy to waste a few hours sunning himself on the lawn while Nancy pottered in her garden enjoying the sun's warmth also.
We've nicknamed an area of our Village Paradise Lane - it really looks spectacular all year round and at night time the residents have added some lovely lights to the trees which look magnificent. Paradise Lane is also home to two naked garden ornaments owned by Marilyn - someone is rumoured to have dressed them recently as a joke which sent laughter and good fun vibes all through the village.
We also think Carmen has done a lovely job on her new garden down the side of her villa - a rockery of sorts - it is very pleasing to the eye and really softens the exterior of her villa.
When a resident moves to Oak Tree we are more then happy to take care of all of the lawns and gardens for them, however, if they love to garden, as many of our residents do, they can take over a section of the garden outside their home and add their own personal touches. We really appreciate all of the lovely ornaments, new plants and colour our residents add to their gardens. It shows us that our residents take pride in their homes and the village.
