Our village at Boronia Heights recently played host to a fabulous Spanish luncheon.
More than 50 Oak Tree residents and new visitors to the village enjoyed an afternoon of food, fun and festivities in the well-appointed community centre and all went home with a smile on their face.
The authentic menu featured a Spanish paella cooked fresh by expert Spanish cook, Mary Mena. A dessert of tasty Spanish flan was to follow and nobody was disappointed!
A special surprise was the performance by visiting entertainers “Arte Flamenco” who had the crowd enthralled with their lively Spanish guitar and dance. It was a rare opportunity to see such a performance close up and the crowd were thrilled.
Lucky door prizes drawn through the afternoon were a special bonus for the winners!
The day concluded with tours of our lovely village for visiting guests to walk through the display homes and get more information about life at Oak Tree. Peter Grace is on site as our Village Manager from Monday to Friday and welcomes all visitors.
Judging by the response this year there will be similar events to come!
