This weekend sees us hosting our second Open Day at the new Toowoomba village. The great news up there is that we have commenced works on our new Community Centre last week – we will also be building a heated pool and regulation length bowling green for residents to us at their leisure.
At this stage we are hoping to host a Resident’s Bowling Challenge in Toowoomba. This will see residents travelling up from our Brisbane Villages (Goodna & Boronia Heights) and taking on residents from Warwick as well as Toowoomba. We are hoping to have this around late September – we will need the weather to warm up a bit, hopefully after the westerly winds have abated. The Warwick residents would be disappointed if I didn’t mention that they are the current trophy holders having first won the title last year and successfully defending it a few weeks ago at the Goodna Village.
This event is exciting for us as operators – it really demonstrates first hand what great opportunities this type of lifestyle offers. It really has nothing to do with bowls – it’s about people and the opportunity to participate in a group event without strings attached. What I loved about attending the recent event at Goodna was seeing bowlers and non-bowlers coming together to enjoy the company of others, a meal and great weather. It’s uplifting, healthy, fun and entertaining. And costs basically nothing. Of course it doesn’t just relate to bowling – these benefits can be achieved through art classes, craft classes, tai chi, water aerobics, day trips, themed dinners, movie nights, and the list goes on.
Whatever your interests it’s almost certain that you’ll find something of interest in one of our villages. And if time on your own is your preference, then there’s plenty of opportunity to do that as well. Why not give us a call now and have a chat…You wont look back I believe but like most things in life it’s usually up to you how the future rolls out.
