Open Days A Great Success

The weekend just gone saw us hosting another batch of Open Days around the country. From Cairns in the North to Melbourne in the South, many turned out to see what the Oak Tree lifestyle has to offer those considering a change. The idea of these open days is to help people visualise themselves in a new environment, free of maintenance worries and looking to plan for life down the track. Of major importance to many is the thought that I may not be as fit and healthy later and concerns as to how life may change as time goes on. Accordingly, Oak Tree addresses this issue head on by providing insight into how residents can access low and medium levels of care whilst remaining in the village.  There are a number of registered care providers around the country who specialise in providing in -villa assistance – from help with cleaning through to assistance in showering and cooking. Many of our residents across our villages access these benefits every day.

We had a great weekend in Cairns. It was our chance to catch up with residents as well as take lots of people through our villas. The village has something for everyone and the Seniors Expo on Friday provided an opportunity for residents and the public to view a range of products and services that may assist them in their senior years. The weather was great and some new residents look like joining us shortly. A big word of thanks to Denise and Melissa for organising a great few days.

Marco was down South with Steve at our Skye village then back up to Goodna with John on the weekend. We have just two large 2 bedroom/2 bathroom villas left to sell at Goodna – you really do need to come in and see this product. It’s fantastic but you’ll need to hurry as it wont last long.

Toowoomba is moving along very nicely at the moment with a large number of villas already sold and the first of our new residents moving in shortly. Our community centre and facilities are not far off also so come and see us about this great development in one of the best locations in Toowoomba. Give Amy a ring and come and see for yourself.

Despite a very busy program in recent months, we really do enjoy what we do and the chance to make a difference to people’s lives is very humbling. It’s also great touching base with our residents as we get aroud the village. Some of them have been with us quite a while now and cathing up on what they have been doing with themselves is always fun.

This week we head down to host an information day in Cardiff (Newcastle) at the local RSL. With construction underway, we want to remain engaged with people and keep them informed of progress. Several villas have already sold and we believe demand will strengthen as we near the opening of the new villas in a few month’s time. We’d love to see you on Thursday –  you can call us for details if you’d like to attend.

Until Next Time
Warm Regards
Mark.
