It’s hard to believe it isn’t it? August is here already (give or take a couple more days), and along with it will no doubt come the wild westerly winds, but gorgeous blue skies that entice you outside anyway.
Along with August also comes National Seniors Week in QLD where a variety of events take place for seniors promoting positive health and living as well as celebrating all of the valuable contributions seniors make to our lives and our local communities.
Kicking off in most areas around the 18th of August keep your eyes peeled for events happening near you, from expos and exhibitions, to craft and dance classes, community luncheons, high teas and much much more. Local councils can often provide you with details of what is on where, as do your local community papers who often do special lift out features.
Of course Oak Tree is on the band wagon again this year either attending or hosting events in support of this yearly event.
