Oak Tree Retirement Village Toowoomba is the latest in the Group to host their Biggest Morning Tea event with outstanding results!
For the third year running the Village has gone to great lengths to stage an event ‘to make a difference’ producing their best profits yet. The 120 residents and guests in attendance opened their generous hearts and coin purses and dug deep to raise in excess of $3600 for the Cancer Council.
As a Group this puts Oak Tree’s tally just over $7800, and still counting with another fundraising event taking place in Oak Tree Retirement Village Goondiwindi today. Other Villages to host events were Park Avenue, Yeppoon, Capricorn Coast, Warwick and Victoria Point in Queensland as well as Tamworth and Armidale in New South Wales.
All proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Council to show Oak Tree’s support in the fight against Cancer.
As a family and an ageing community it is unfortunate that cancer is a common reality
Oak Tree regularly encounters. Oak Tree’s pledge to support the Cancer Council on an annual basis is not only for the sole purpose to raise funds, but also to support those who are personally affected; to act as a listening ear and to encourage an accessible network of family and friends who are there to assist and who care.
It is with full gratitude to our residents these events are made possible. Residents go to enormous efforts to assist in sourcing donations from local businesses for raffle prizes, venue set up and catering, not forgetting their actual attendance and participation.
Congratulations Oak Tree residents! Every penny helps. Let’s raise the bar even higher next year.
